MERCEDES RALLY AT HELICOPTER MUSEUM

On Sunday 22^nd April the South West section of the UK Mercedes club held their annual car rally and social gathering at the Helicopter Museum, Weston-super-mare before driving off to Rookery Manor for a privately organised dinner.

During their stay at the museum, the largest of its kind in the world, the group were treated to a specially organised group tour and coffee reception, while in the outside grounds visitors to the museum were treated with a display of vintage and modern Mercedes cars.

The highlight of which was the new SLK-CLASS EDITION 10 on loan for the day courtesy of Mercedes-Benz, Bridge road, Weston-super-mare.                        

The rally coincided with the bi-annual ‘spotter’s weekend’ at the Helicopter Museum where visitors are escorted around the museum’s reserve collection of rotorcraft and get to witness first hand, the work undertaken in the on-site restoration workshop facility.
