  MUSEUMS SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS IN 2007

Following the success and popularity of its summer 2006 exhibition charting the history of Weston Airfield, The Helicopter Museum is planning to go bigger and better this year with four major exhibitions planned for 2007. The first of which, ‘The 25th Anniversary Of The Falklands Conflict’ is scheduled to open in May, ready for the summer season.

Work is already underway collating photographs and artefacts for the display, which organisers say will be “the museums best yet”. Other exhibitions planned for later in the year include ’60 Years Of The Sycamore Helicopter’ and ‘The 50th Anniversary Of The Army Air Corps’.

Not only has the museum organised more exhibitions this year but it has also scheduled more helicopter air experience flight dates than ever before due to the rising popularity of the fifteen mile flights around the local coastline.

With its display hanger being enlarged and with more aircraft being brought in on display to the public , 2007 looks to be an exciting year for the Helicopter Museum.
