3rd January 2008 MUSEUM INTRODUCES WEBSITE FUND RAISING The Helicopter Museum at Weston-super-Mare has revamped its website www.helicoptermuseum.co.uk for 2008. Last year the website received almost 39,000 ‘hits’ from potential visitors and aviation enthusiasts. Created and run by volunteer Alan Norris of Mersey Hampton in Wiltshire, the 2008 update includes a new panoramic view of the main hanger collection, created by Polish contributor Karol Kwiatek ( www.panometr.com ) who visited the museum in 2007. The full screen panorama includes sound and interactive descriptions of the exhibits.
Also new for 2008 is a new fundraising initiative via
www.easyfundraising.org.uk
Weekly online grocery shopping with Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys, online flight bookings, insurance renewals and retailers such as Debenhams, John Lewis and many others all subscribe to this online initiative under which 100 percent of the donation goes towards the upkeep of the museum and its rare collection.
